All Time Roasting Company

All Time Roasting Store

We had a little extra time today after lunch. This week felt different because the Bahrain F1 GP which is held in Malaysia this year seemed to attract the majority of the city population to the racing track, causing massive traffic headaches for attendees. At the same time, it's also Malaysia Coffee Week, but we didn't feel like braving the shopping mall crowd at One Utama to check it out.

So I did my usual thing and poked and prodded at Google Maps and found a coffee place I felt would be interesting, and we headed in that direction, ending up at the All Time Roasting Company in OUG.

I liked the vibe, especially all the colours, and friendly people at the counter. It was also fun to find out that they had light roasts from Thailand, so I had those to try.

Coffee Jelly

There was also the coffee jelly with sea salt, which really reminded me of a pint of Guinness, so I had fun trying that too.

While we were at the cafe, I also noticed different art styles on display, such as the watercolour flavour wheel and such, and I felt a pang of sadness of how art styles, programming patterns were all really just a prompt away now, though it does give us more room to thing of the shape of what we're trying to share nowadays. Out of curiosity and to prove a point, I also took one of our selfies while waiting for dinner and had ChatGPT just apply an art style to it, which made it look pretty cool, albeit I felt quite guilty.
