Competency
I’m often reminded that it’s better to be competent. While it’s something simple and obvious, it’s one of those things that I feel I need to sit back, think about, and then accept it and get down to working on it.
I’m comfortably competent in a few skills, but I’ve always felt that there were a few key skills where I was lacking some basic competency.
Some of the excuses that have been mentally limiting me over the last twenty years include the idea that I’m rather weak in programming and bookkeeping. Considering that those are pretty basic skills, it really shouldn’t be too hard to get from the level of incompetence, to basic competence, and then refine further from there.
I’ll be focusing on further refining my existing skill base, and achieving competency on some of the basic skills that I lack competency in.
This should be a fun ride.
