I haven’t written updates like these in a while, so I’m happy to put out the first one in probably 2 years, and hopefully get back into a proper rhythm of writing.

A few months ago, I met up with Derek Sivers, which was really interesting for me.

I’ve started a new job as a Forward Deployed Engineer at Shieldbase, and also realised that I needed to learn to how separate work matters from personal time. To be clear, the stress wasn’t coming from Shieldbase, but from some of the projects I have around.

I recently discovered this song called Tegami by Angela Aki and really liked it, and it helped me think a many things too.

I saw a few people I follow online using Buttondown, including Dries Buytaert, Emma Goto, Koos Looijesteijn, and iA (which I do all my writing on.) So I figured I’ll give this a try.

Funnily enough, I think I’ve only got 5 newsletter subscribers right now, and I’m only sure that 1 is an actual human and not spam at this point. But it’s still fun to write, and since I’ve fixed my RSS flow, I’m happy to be poking around the IndieWeb and reading blogs again.
